Up until recently Cabbie
Kids has been my part time obsession after my children had gone to bed.
Now that my two cherubs are almost self-sufficient I have been able to
put together this website and hopefully turn Cabbie Kids into a fully-fledged
business.
Many moons ago I studied
at Edinburgh Art College, which allowed me to experiment in many different
medias from canvas to metal. After leaving I joined the grown up world
of steady pay and mortgage payments! During this time I continued creating
by making individualised cards for various shops and wedding fairs.
I started to design
personalised t-shirts for my children to give as presents to their friends.
You can only purchase so many Barbie's and Power Rangers before you lose
the will to live!! After this cheap advertising ploy I received orders
for t-shirts and other individualised items from bags to baby gifts.
Last year I joined several
large craft associations and received a positive reaction from a wider
audience and not just biased friends and family. I am still attending
many craft fairs as they are a great place to experiment with new designs
and ideas.
Well, that's my life in a nutshell. Thank
you for visiting Cabbie Kids and I hope that you find the journey through
the site easy and enjoyable.
